Tate's 4th birthday was on April 8th. We had cake, presents, and the usual pinata. Tate had some very specific requests. First, he wanted a blue cake with a killer whale on top. Second, he wanted lemonade and third, everything had to be BLUE! He got a (blue) bike for his birthday. Finally! He has watched Arie ride his for the last 2 years and couldn't wait to have one of his very own. He also got a diving Spiderman, a remote control 4 wheeler, a Star Wars t-shirt, and Star Wars IV. He has officially gone from blocks, trains, and generic toys, to more specific interests.
Some things about Tate at this age:
- He LOVES Star Wars
- He is full of life!
- He weighs 44 lb and is 41 in. tall (same weight as Arie just a little shorter)
- He is perfecting his light saber sound effects "shing! shing!"
- He is a Sunbeam at church and really hates singing time but loves class time.
- He is going to start preschool in the fall! (tear)
- His imagination is at a peak right now.
- He asks ALOT of questions. He's very curious.
- He's very funny and animated.
- He's super strong and can take me down!
- He's a worrier.
- Sometimes he looks like a mini Carson clone.
- He eats 2 adult size bowls of cereal for breakfast every morning.
- He loves to wrestle
- He wakes me up every morning to snuggle with me. He puts his chubby little hands on my face and tells me, "You're the best, Mom."
We love our Tate. I'm afraid our life might be all too serious if we didn't have him around. After I picked out his name, I looked up what it meant. "Happy". It couldn't be any more fitting. Love you Tater.
